The aim of this year's program was to learn and demonstrate source separation for the purpose of organic recycling, with help from the Greenburgh Nature Center.

Eight students worked on creating and implementing an eight-week. program of educating the public on source separation, which is separating food from trash.

They created signage which was put up all over the area, and held public demonstrations at the Anthony Veteran Park and at the Westchester Community College campus.

Guest speakers helped impress upon the students the importance of materials management.

Kyle Bason, Pearse Callaghan, Maya Copeland, Anthony DeLillo, Kristoffer Fregil, Jaha Walgern-Bell Demetrius Woods and Jahari Yates are the eight students who completed the program.

The Town Board meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. at Greenburgh Town Hall.
